Great Post Nakita!
ReplyDeleteAs an Instructional Technologist in a high school, I work directly with teachers in regards to technology usage. Often times the classroom technology usage is centered around research. Many times I have witnessed teachers suggest research topics, yet the times are few and far between that effect research strategies are taught before the research is embarked upon. It has been my observation that strong research strategies are taught more so in technical courses such as Career and Technical. I have also noticed that English courses support effective research method. However, in science, social studies, and other core and elective courses, little effort is put into making sure that students are provided with online and text resources that would help them in being successful.
Great Post!
